Level 1: HyFlex Teaching Initiate
HyFlex course delivery is relatively new to WVU. In a HyFlex course, all core class content is available both face-to-face and online, and there are variations in instructional delivery. The primary benefit of HyFlex delivery is considered the flexibility to allow students more control over how they participate and complete course requirements. Badge participants will explore, apply and reflect upon a variety of tools and instructional strategies to achieve excellence in HyFlex teaching.
How to Get Started
1. Complete one of the TLC’s Hybrid Teaching Institutes.
Key concepts covered include: backward design, student engagement techniques, instructional delivery modalities (including Hybrid-Flexible), and course alignment connections between learning outcomes, activities, and assessment strategies.
2. Complete self-paced modules and related assessment in eCampus Learning Academy to unlock this foundational knowledge achievement.
